Building Blocks, April, Tri-Color Linen Stitch
Have you ever heard of the linen stitch but was quite show on how to do it? The Tri Color Linen Stitch is a unique color changing method that adds some personality to a classic crochet stitch without leaving those of so favorite ends to weave in.
Each month we will offer a new Sampler Square class/technique. Edna's expert guidance will help you master new textures and stitches to develop a more versatile crochet toolkit.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Students should be proficient in basic crochet skills such as, chains and single crochet. These skills will not be taught during this session.
YOU WILL LEARN: The linen stitch and how to change color at the end of each row
MATERIALS NEEDED: Any worsted weight yarn, Crochet Hook size J (6 mm). We recommend Cascade 220 for this project.
The pattern we will use is Crochet Amour Sampler by Toni Lipsey, Edna's favorite pattern designer! This pattern is available from Ravelry.com and includes patterns for 20 unique crocheted squares.
