Crochet Amour Sampler ~ February

Building Blocks, February, Cable Stitch

Have you ever seen a knitted cable and wondered if you could do this with crochet?!  The answer is YES!!  You can use post stitches that dance across the fabric and give visual interest to any project.

Each month we will offer a new Sampler Square class/technique.  Edna's expert guidance will help you master new textures and stitches to develop a more versatile crochet toolkit.  

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Students should be proficient in basic crochet skills such as, chain, single crochet, double crochet.  These skills will not be taught during this session.

YOU WILL LEARN:  foundation double crochet, front and back post double crochet, the cable stitch

MATERIALS NEEDED:  Any worsted weight yarn, Crochet Hook size K (6.5mm)  We recommend Cascade 220 for this project.

The pattern we will use is Crochet Amour Sampler by Toni Lipsey, Edna's favorite pattern designer!   This pattern is available from Ravelry.com and includes patterns for 20 unique crocheted squares.
