Cygnus is an airy sleeveless sweater knitted with a lace pattern in any DK weight yarn. A versatile piece for work and play, layer it over a bandeau or camisole for a warm weather look or a long sleeve top for cooler climes. Super fun over a swimsuit on your beach vacay!!
Materials Needed: DK weight yarn of your choice (see pattern for sizing and yardages). We are using Vaya (coming soon). Pattern for Cygnus by Afifa (Free pattern!!) Needle size US 6, 16inch and 40 inch circulars; Notions: Tapestry needle, removable stitch markers, stitch marker
Skills Needed: This is an intermediate pattern. Students should be able to knit, purl, and knit in the round proficiently.
You Will Learn: Incorporating a Selvage edge, piecing and seaming, lacework patterning, picking up stitches
Homework: Please come to class with the Lace Vines Pattern gauge swatch knitted and blocked in your yarn choice.
