Intermediate Crochet Class
Filet crochet is a crochet technique that uses graphic images or patterns to create an image within a grid of "open" and "closed" squares. The term "filet" means "net" in French, and the technique is often used for decorative items like tablecloths, curtains, and placemats, as well as for clothing and accessories.
Skills Required: Students should be intermediate crocheters. You should already know how to chain, single crochet, double crochet. These stitches will not be taught in this class.
You Will Learn: How to read a filet crochet pattern, and basics of creating an image with crocheting stitches.
Materials needed: One skein of solid, worsted weight yarn, a 5 or 5.5mm hook (H or I). Instructions/pattern included in class fee.
