Fireside Chat with our Favorite Brit
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is so exciting!! Somehow I managed to get our favorite Brit, Deb Saunders, to spend a Sunday afternoon educating us about many of our British products and the history behind them.
She's gonna talk to us about William Morris who was central to the Arts & Crafts movement of the late 1800's all the while championing handcrafted beauty (we love this part!) over industrial mass production, reviving medieval techniques for textiles, wallpapers, and furniture, and influencing design with nature-inspired patterns.
While Morris founded his own firm, Morris & Co., Liberty of London became a vital partner in popularizing his intricate, nature-inspired patterns, many of which remain Liberty's most iconic prints today.
Deb will also weave in the geography of our British wools especially the three contained in Morris dk.
I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon but to listen to this important history of craft in the 'Queen's' English.
Deb is also being kind enough to make us traditional British tea snacks to have during her fireside chat.
**Your $10 ticket gets you the chat, snacks, and a 20% discount on your day's purchase.
