Got Gauge?

The single most question we are asked is, 'Do I really need to do a gauge swatch?' The answer is always YES especially if you want it to fit. Swatching before knitting a garment saves many tears in the long run.

In this class, Wendy is going to guide you through knitting a gauge swatch, understanding what it means to cast on so many stitches for so many rows, and determining if the needle that the pattern calls for is actually the needle for you!  Everyone's gauge is as different as our different personalities!

Materials: Bring the yarn and needles for a pattern you would like to try OR bring a DK weight yarn and size 6 needles to do a sample swatch.

This is the perfect time to learn about gauge.  This will ensure that your Summer TEE Party tee fits you to perfection! :)
