Learn Magic Loop (Beginner Knit: Skill Building)

Learn to knit in the round using the Magic Loop technique! This technique requires only one needle to knit a tube of any size. We will make a pair of fingerless mitts using the magic loop method.

SKILLS NEEDED:  You must be proficient with knitting and purling.  These techniques will not be taught or reviewed.

YOU WILL LEARN:  The Magic Loop method of knitting in the round.  After this class you will be comfortable knitting a variety of projects in the round, including: socks, hats, sweaters, etc.

MATERIALS NEEDED:  One skein of worsted weight yarn of your choice;  One US 7 circular needle in length 32" OR 40” needles, stitch markers, darning needle, and the Magic Mitts pattern (free on Ravelry!)  Magic Mitts available here: MITTS

For this pattern we recommend Cascade 220 or Malabrigo Rios yarn:  Worsted Yarns

Homework:  Have your yarn wound, if needed, and your pattern printed prior to start of class.
