Miss Winkle Shawlette

This very loopy shawlette is here to celebrate Miss Winkle, a character from Big Bang Theory.

Miss Winkle is an asymmetric shawlette in garter stitch that looks fabulous in a variegated hand-dyed yarn. You start with one little loop, adding longer and longer rows that form a very long triangle. The 3-dimensional loops are created using a simple twist technique. There are almost no purl stitches, so this is a very relaxing but quick project that is perfect for beginners and young knitters – and a great project on-the-go for knitting experts. You can use any amount of yarn because you just knit this pattern until your yarn is used up.  

Materials Needed:  One skein of any fingering weight yarn. 350-360 yards or more if desired.  US size 2.5 or US 3 needle

Skills Needed:  This is a beginner pattern. This class and pattern would be great for new knitters who are ready to learn basic shawl/accessory construction. 

You Will Learn: Basic shawlette construction and how to create the 3-dimensional loops

Homework:  Please, have yarn wound and pattern purchase before class begins.
