The Hearts on Fire Beanie

The Hearts on Fire is a great colorwork pattern for an adventurous beginner or intermediate knitter. The hat uses 2 colors of worsted (4) weight yarn and is knit on 16” circular needles.

The pattern is both written and charted and comes in sizes baby, toddler, youth, and adult.

Skills Required: Students should already know how to knit, purl, and knit in the round.

You Will Learn: You will learn techniques of colorwork with worsted yarn resulting in cute hearts pattern on your beanie.

Supplies: Two contrasting colors of worsted yarn.  We used Malabrigo Rios for our hat.  Needle size US 6 and US 8, in 16-inch circular needles.  Pattern for The Hearts on Fire is available on Ravelry.com.

Homework: Come to class having COMPLETED the ribbed section of your hat in your main colorway.
